Point still stands.
Perhaps you should change "stupid" to "ignorant" or "poorly informed".
However, assuming the saying "having a cross to bear" has been uttered to the individual on many occassions, and has been explain too, then perhaps one COULD conclude the person is stupid.
But it's also possible the person is just forgetfull, which is not a sign of stupidity in my opinion.
In short, you can't label a person stupid by asking questions that only require knowledge to answer.
