Isn't 'human interest' just a euphemism for morbid curiosity or rubber necking? Its a bit like billy conolly talking about the press and ken bigley (imo he was right, bigley's death 'probably' sold more papers than kember's release), i just have this uneasy feeling its less about wanting to empathise with other human beings and more about wanting the grizzly detail of what happened to her.
