Just from reading some of the 'News' articles, this one caught my eye.

RIPON - A bank robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash Wednesday morning when he held up the Bank of America branch on West Main Street.

Sgt. Ed Ormonde of the Ripon Police Department said his office received an alarm at 11:56 a.m. that a holdup was in progress at the bank, in the 200 block of West Main. The robber was described as a white man in his 40s with a slender build. He was wearing a light blue baseball cap, red sweat shirt and light blue denim jeans.

The man gave a teller a note that a robbery was taking place and was given an undetermined amount of cash. He left the building on foot and has not been apprehended, Ormonde said.

"We have retrieved the video and are matching it with some of our known local suspects," he said, adding that the FBI has been notified, which is standard in all such robberies because banks are federally insured.

Ormonde said the man in his note did not show a firearm or threaten the teller with one.
