Yeah, probably makes some sense. The thing is, too, that because the EPL already denied a points reduction on West Ham last season, they can't do it for next season over the same case without Sheffield United being treaten ackward (so it doesn't sound likely that a points deduction, as wakey suggested, would ever occur).
