That wasn't really anyone's point but okay. The point is that basing codes of law or moral systems on "the bible" is just silly because you'll end up with many contradictions in your system. Of course nobody saying it's impossible to be a Christian or anything remotely of the like. Of course the bible probably has many parts of authentic history in it (or close enough as to make little difference) but the errors and internal contradictions would show that it is probably not a divinely inspired document or infallible.
