Most gunships are, like everything else, powered by a miniature fushion reactor. It uses the exhaust from this reactor has its primary means of engine power. Most gunships are capable of VTOL, space-flight, hovering, and supersonic speed (although only about Mach 1 or 2 while dogfighting in an atmosphere). Primary gunship armaments consist of projectile weapons and missiles/rockets. Some gunships are equipped with chainguns, while a few are equipped with heavier cannons, essentially light anti-tank rifles designed to punch through armor.
