The main reason they got smashed yesterday was because they managed to piss off a lot of potential help. Sending 57 fleets at one planet in 2 days is not the best way to encourage that planet's alliance to help you win the round, for example.
Omen are nothing on 1up, militarily speaking, albeit very good at roid racing.
Of course, I may get proved wrong if Omen manage to defeat 1up, but in a 1 on 1 fight I doubt they'd be able to do it without significant backup.
