Cardiff's SU is big. One of the biggest in the country. It does this by having a proper nightclub instead of stupidly cheap drinks and making itself incredibly attractive to students. Good bands (Kaiser Chiefs, Manics) come and play gigs here because it has a good reputation, which brings in more money.

That money's going to be spent on a new union building which is sorely needed - it'll happen in the next few years.
