Re: so whats happening?

We have had thrills and spills in cluster 14!

Our galaxy fell into the cluster happily, and our galliant Galactic Commander jupp made contact with the civilisations around our area. After much toing and froing, a gentleman by the (fake ) name of Seaton invited us into a neutral meeting spot of #XIV. Seeing him use Roman numerals helped us realise we were obviously dealing with an intellectual of the highest order, so we hurred along, hoping to maintain peace and harmony across the cluster.

After a few days, we truly felt at home. Cluster 14 was the place for our humble galaxy of 14:1. We chatted, we laughed, we dined and we frolicked. They were truly glorious days.

After realising that some of the lifeforms in our galaxy had peaked at 8 roids, we had to make the horrible decision of removing these fine fellows from our galaxy. We intended to make culturual, scientific and military advancements in our galaxy, with the eventual aim of sharing it withour new found friends in the rest of the cluster. These smaller Third World Planets weren't helping. As they left our system, blasting off into the unknown, we shed a tear to our departed comrades.

Later that night though, a brilliant pink flash appeared in the sky. A new planet had arrived! Jupp, immediately jumping into action, got in contact with our new arrival. Their intelligence was markedly lower than ours, but we are a generous accommodating galaxy. We could make time and allowances for this inferior lifeform.

We invited him into our galaxy meeting point, and eventually, after much help from Zarkov (a fine fine gentleman. I think he's in the nominations for Finest Leaders of Planets Awards 2007 actually), he made his way there.

As he entered the room though, a deathly chill fell upon us all. Children shivered. Women weeped. Men cowered. JBG drank.

"hi guys! I'm Alki!" the new lifeform said.

After the initial shock, we tried to sort things out. There would have to be changes. People would need to be sent to this planet to evacuate the poor citizens. We would have to exile him as soon as possible. What a calamity! What a disaster! What had we done to deserve such an atrocity?!

Our cluster friends instantly became rather icy towards us. "Why haven't you exiled him?" "How can you stand to be around him?" "Do you have quarantines in place for his citizens?". Things were going downhill. Jupp did his best to patch things up but it wasn't going well. Zarkov tried to befriend Seaton but things weren't looking pretty.

Then it got worse. Alki broke the cluster nap and started launching haphazardly across the cluster, on poor defenceless planets. The cluster channel was chaos. People were DYING out there. Alki was STEALING. It was horrible.

Our cluster made a decision. I was away on intergalactic business for a few days. Noone was around. Seaton took his dictatorial role and called for total war on our poor galaxy. I came back from the business to find 80,000 ships had arrived at my planet. They had raped, pillaged, and stole my specialised Corvette fleet. It was a catastrophic area. I slowly but surely built my way back up. Battleships were the way to go.

The cluster would pay for this. I had done nothing! Alki remains in our galaxy still, making us want to cut ourselves every time he speaks in the channel. JBG's drinking has got worse. Jer is listening to depressing music to try and cheer him up. Jupp remains vigilant and watchful, but realises it's a lost situation.

My Battleships are now 3 ticks away from landing on another galaxy. MY scientists are working around the clock to build weapons to exact revenge on this cluster that has thrown us so coldly into the night.

Cluster 14! 14:1 WILL have its revenge!
