This makes me so proud to be
british. It is quite frankly despicable that our government can behave in a manner that would rightly be condemned anywhere else in the world. We put restraining orders on individuals that effectively puts them under house arrest yet we call the burmese barbarians for doing the same to their undesirables (such as Aung Sung Suu Kyi). We're complicit in the capture and extradition of our own people to countries where they're held without any due process and basically outside the normal judicial process and yet we we're fighting for democracy and justice. Had anyone else outside the security council behaved in this manner we'd be putting sanctions on them.
