Perhaps, but you've still devoted 10% of your structures to stopping others from getting killed, you still have 5500 construction points spent on defense. Your fear over what might happen had the same result as if you'd be SK'd. Might be be better in the long run if you're getting SK'd nightly, sure, but they still win by making you do it.
