Its the other way round. You'll get a bit bigger during the first couple of months, but its unlikely you'll see much improvement after that unless you change your diet (specifically, eat a lot more). Your fitness (or rather, the specific type of fitness that youre training) should continue increasing though as long as you gradually increase the amount of exercise youre doing. Its just basic physics really - if you want to gain mass then your food input has to exceed the energy youre expending.
