The internet company I had at university stopped charging me after I physically went down to their offices and sorted it out in person. It took a couple of months of phoning back and forth before that. Luckily they were based in Exeter.

The amusing thing is that they still haven't removed my webspace, even though it's now almost 3 years since I left them. I can still add stuff to it.
