buy yourself some comic bags - available from most comic shops, and if you are ever going to take them to a dealer make sure that you put them in the bags first

EDIT: obviously this advice only holds if the comics are in good to mint condition, if they are only average then there is no point in trying to make them look better as in most cases the price will already be drastically reduced by then
