spots are mostly hormonal, tho some can be food based, you could eat healthy and still look like a pizza.
for really bad acne you can see your doctor who will prescibe something.
but the others are right, a facial scrub in some form, an astringent to deal with the oils, and dont worry if its a bit girly.
