remembering that unlike theam's post, we in england pay interest from when we take the loan out (even if it is just above inflation). If you take the maximum loan out for the 3 years it's up to above 11k iirc


EDIT: about the original point, from what i remember of my student loan repayments, the e-mail may well be correct, plus, what with the petition being on the govt. website and all, don't you think that they might have refuted it if it wasn't true by now?
