Give the spread of their planets and - as you said - the quality of their players, it is only going to get harder and harder to dent Apprime as their fortresses grow stronger and stronger.
On the other hand, why not allow Apprime the opportunity to prove their quality by giving them a run for their money? Instead of napping them into a boredom submission. Oh hi gm!
