In my course we have books/smaller writings on the sylabus written by professors from the big american universities. One of them is Seymour Martin Lipset, who have teached at both Stanford and Harvard. He have problems with basic methods consering how to choose data and to interpret them. Some of the same can be said for Samuel Huntington, who studied at Harvard and Yale and stil teaches at Harvard.
But it looks good to have studied at those universities
