We are not 'falling behind' anyone.
The quality of our academics is not in question. We are huge education 'exporter' this is because of the calibre of our academics.
The point here is that we do not pay them properly.
This is short sighted because at the moment we have something excellent (something which is recognised globally as excellent) and we shouldn't lose it simply because we can not be arsed to pay academics properly. Or because people like yourself are too stupid to understand the issues.
