My friend had his birthday recently at a pub in Farringdon that had a no-smoking policy. This was the first glimpse for my smoker-friends of life in bars/pubs without cigarettes.
They said that they rather liked it, as it meant they got to stand outside and chat with some girls who were also smoking. I suppose if little sticks of cancer serve as an icebreaker, they must be a good thing!
