Re: because we didn't have a favourite movie-thread in a while

here it goes

Donnie Brasco
Goodfellas
Heat
In Too Deep
Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead
Casino
Romeo Must Die
Training Day
Man On Fire
Traffic
Ali
The Corruptor
Chopper
Devils Advocate
The Shawshank Redemption
Gladiator
Serenity
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves

Anchorman
Monty Python films
Dogma
South Park The Movie

Lord of the rings Trilogy
Matrix Trilogy
Star Wars Trilogy

And because no one else will say them:
The Lion King
Aladin
Toy Story
Toys

The reason I said these last four is because, although I wouldn't really watch them now, I loved them when I was a kid, and they're brilliant films for that purpose.
Also I see nothing wrong with putting new films like Serenity on your list, because ultimately _everyone_ is putting a biased amount of films on from whichever era they were young or a teenager on because you're quite likely to prefer them because it's what you grew up with. I'm sure there are alot of good older films, but other than Star Wars and Monty Python I think i almost chose no films from before the 90's.
