My point is if Ascendancy have to actually put in more effort that disrupts there normal life, they won't do it. That is at least how I view it.
The professional alliances such as CT, WP and Angels will demand more from there members and will expect them to grind there teeth and roid come rain or war.

Exactly xp has been bummed, which one could argue takes away that option for many a member of ascendancy. Why would they change there gameplay and become uber active for the sake of showing up a couple of alliances.
Ascendancy just doesn't appear to be like that.
