Huh? On the rare occassions I listen to music radio, its to hear new music. So the most important thing is that the presenter has good taste and is likely to play something interesting. Links dont really matter; a bit of talking is fine as long as it's both worthwhile and music-related, but ultimately they just need to state the track name and artist, and give some background about it. Theres not really any competition with an mp3 player - an mp3 player is generally about hearing stuff you already know about, whereas radio is about hearing new things.
