ASG I think you're neglecting the fact that it's not the propaganda that forms the opinion, it's you that does the opinion forming, whether you're bombarded by propaganda constantly or not (which you are but not in rhe form you suggest, for instance you are using propaganda in trying to change my view).

All types of advertising, newspaper articles, tv programs etc must be seen as propaganda because they are trying to convert you in some way or other, but to view it as something intrinsically malevolent is misguided.

The intent of the propaganda plays an important role in what it does, but the interpretation of the propaganda is where the important processes happen.
