Injuries have a nasty habit of stopping players from playing. Before his injury Van Persie was easily Arsenal's second best striker, and was in top form in the autumn of 2005.

Cristiano Ronaldo's a very good player, I'll give you that. How about we just settle at accepting that both are very bright young talents who will have a great future in the game?
