Then surely the problem is getting shitfaced on a regular basis rather than the fact that ohmigod they might consume alcohol. The problem therefore is not the age at which alcohol is consumed, it's how people consume it. Which means that regulation of alcohol (which is generally pretty worthless anyway) by the state is pretty much a ****ing waste of time.
