I actually liked how well ascendency did this round. I'm sure i'll cop alot of flak for saying that, but they were effectively challenging much bigger alliances numerically whilst fending off lemming raids from alliances like us (Vision) and Orbit et al as well. Concentrating themselves in-galaxy was a risky strategy that paid off, and should be commended.
And i find myself disagreeing with wakey; it seems Orbit did fairly well for themselves - i'll let them decide whether they were happy with the performance.
