The further maths posse at my school used to join our own undernet IRC channel for an hour or so on sunday afternoons. One guy found pa, made the rest of us play (JC too!) - at one point I think we had summat like ~20 real life people playing. They all left circa r5, JC left circa r9, and I'm still here
