Most states which have voted on DOMAs have passed them without obstruction, including his home state of Virginia so it's not really a huge surprise there. It flew through the House with an overwhelming majority, so again I'm not really heading towards 'conservative nutcase' yet. Also, hate-crime laws are fairly retarded anyway.

He seems to share the values of a large number of the electorate. If he does get elected, isn't that exactly what democracy's meant to be about?
