my point was that 90% would be a conservative estimate for the number of Iraqi civilians who have died since the end of the first gulf war who would not have died were it not for the US, whether through the sanctions or through pretty much bombing the living shit out of anything that moved for the last four years. Saying that the US are fighting bad guys now doesn't in any way make less relevant the fact that they gave those bad guys a cause and a foothold in the first place.
