I somehow find the idea of having a crisis of conscience about your food very very funny.

s|k you could try free range as jbg says or even rear your own chickens/animals. Theres nothing wrong with finding certain foods repulsive it is after all a matter of taste. From what you've said though im confused about whether you dislike the taste of meat or don't like how the meat is treated. You do realise a vegan lifestyle also means giving up dairy products and eggs? Out of curiosity how do you juxtapose the pain and discomfort dairy cows feel when they haven't been milked with your veganism??
