The key question there is, who are "you"? Because "we" certainly don't have attackers and defenders as specialized roles. In fact, I'm pretty sure "specialized defenders" could somehow fall under the support planet rule, be it in tag or not.
Playing Planetarion involves doing both attacking and defending, in a balanced measure. It should also involve doing your own scans. Or alternatively, scanning being more beneficial ingame, although that would be somewhat harder to make work.
