In any case, Ashley Cole is hardly a creative midfielder, like all the other players mentioned. He was also an established international before he moved, and has nearly double the number of caps that Malouda has.
If that post was referring to Ashley Cole, then it wasn't even "stupid football banter" true, let alone being closer to actually true.

Having now read the source of the quote, I can say two things: 1. he was referring to Joe Cole, not Ashley and 2. he's one of the biggest idiots I've encountered (from previous posts on football).
But then furball's record on football isn't exactly great, going on this thread alone, so no wonder he agreed.
