I know two doctors (my father and one of my uncles) who discuss all sorts of things related to bodily dysfunctions and all the stuff "normal" people wouldn't consider dinner conversation .. I thought it was a bit gross when I was younger, then found it increasingly funny and now it's nothing out of the ordinary.
