Re: Help me Obi-GD, you're my only hope!

ASG: wrong about everything.

Daft Punk are obviously worth your time/future children if they're playing but they aren't confirmed from your link.
Otherwise, in reverse order.
Patrick Wolf: YES.
Amy Winehouse: She's good, and nobody has a bad word to say about her live. Unless you hate jews.
The Who: saw them last summer, better than I could have hoped.
Tunng: delightful folk. Good live.
Trentemoller: oh no its dance music oh no
Tiny Dancers: vaguely twee indie-pop. Not groundbreaking, not great, but if there's nobody else on you'll have a bit of fun.
The Stooges: They weren't too good at Reading two years ago but hey, it's Iggy.
The Specials: Go and see them or I'll kill your face.
Simian Mobile Disco: oh no its dance music oh no
Shitdisco: NME orgasm band. One good song, I'm not won over by others, might be alright.
Smokey Robinson: oh come on, you've got to.
Mark Ronson: dance, noes, but I suspect will be excellent.
The Rakes: unspectacular second album, but still great fun live.
Pipettes: your call. might be good live, might not be.
Pendulum: oh no dance(ish) music oh no
Noisettes: if you want to see an NME band, see this lot instead of the ****ing kooks.
new pornographers: see nod
mr scruff: ok yeah this isnt up for debate either
modest mouse: great band in the studio, shit when i saw them live. johnny marr may change this.
madness: yes.
damian marley: not if its raining though.
manics: if you want to. bear in mind they're touring their new album and their new album is...bad. i mean, i don't like anything they've done since Everything Must Go, but this is a whole other kind of bad.
Los Campesinos!: ****ing quality band. Definite Next Big Things, great live, perfect for Glasto. Do it.
Long Blondes: good band, solid live set.
Klaxons: your call. If you like them on record you'll love them live, but if not, you probably won't.
Love of god don't see the killers, the kooks, kasabian or the kaiser chiefs, they're all irrecoverably shit.
Just jack: go if its sunny. one-dimensional summer pop but good at it.
jamie T: yes.
hot chip: quite fun live. not earth-changing, but worth it.
horrors: like them on record, cant imagine theyd be tolerable live.
holy ****: could be good, could be bad.
micah p hinson: not bad, but i wouldnt bother.
gossip: if she's as shitfaced as she was at one big weekend it'll be hilarious to watch.
good bad + queen: im not sold on them, but live reviews have been glowing.
go! team: absolutely wonderful live. could well be a festival highlight if the new stuff is any cop.
adam freeland: oh no dance music oh no
four tet: oh no dance music oh no
fatboy slim: oh no dance music oh no
editors: meh. not woeful live by any means but if you're not going to many bands i wouldnt rush to see them.
duke special: summery, folksy. could be good for lying down at the back of.
pete doherty: if you manage to see his acoustic set count yourself lucky. i imagine his press rep will put you off instantly though because good heavens he took drugs
dj yoda, dj scotch egg, digitalism: oh no dance music oh no
dan le sac vs scroobius pip: bleep-hop with a sense of humour. good fun.
cribs: dependable, reasonably good live. not the most innovative band out there.
chumbawumba:
!!!/chk chk chk: ****ING DO IT.
Chas and Dave: go on, you know you want to.
CSS: good fun live, even if the hype machine is melting.
cajun dance party: they're teenagers so kila likes them. they're shite, so i don't.
brakes: good live, but you'd want to be familiar with their stuff first.
billy bragg: still got it. saw him last month, he was on top form.
bonde do role: jury is out on the whole but could be very good at glasto
bloc party: ****ing ace. see them.
bjork: you'll go if you already like her, and wild horses couldnt drag you there if you didnt. if you're undecided, i say it's worth it.
beirut: excellent on record, not sure how he'd be live but he's playing a ton of festivals so presumably the promoters have faith.
the bees: yaaaay summer
babyshambles: see above entries for bjork and pete doherty.
arcade fire: well, they're pretty much the second coming of christ spread out over seven band members and some touring sessionists so yeah, I'd say you should see them.
lily allen: this depends. if you've got over the initial urge to declare fatwah that she instilled in most people, i reckon she'll be good fun. not if not.
the aliens: the beta band minus steve mason; first EP was hard to judge but album is great and they're pretty much certain to be great live.
young knives: good fun. go if you can.
super furry animals: yes.
rodrigo y gabriela: what nod said.
