More ASS for Round 33 :)

If you are looking for a reliable, well organised, friendly alliance you've come to the right place... not certain? Then read on about our setup which is tried and tested over many rounds and if you like what you read then remember to sign up for ASS next round ingame and pop into #ASSpublic to hang out with us. We have a library of help on our attack site to get your planets up and running smoothly in ASS. Help provided is relevant for complete noobs and for more experienced gameplay so we can accept noobs and experienced players just looking for somewhere to suit their gamestyle.

Hopefully the titles being in a different colour will mean you can skim to the sections are most interested in as our setup is quite long and detailed
Btw.. if you are planning on joining us then reading our setup is a prerequisite as we like to know all our members know exactly what to expect from ASS and what we expect from them so as not to waste their time in an alliance that might not suit them .

********READY FOR ROUND 33*********

Blacklisting: 1 dp a day, uses last 7days activity rather than total activity so new players and old alike have a chance to gain defence. Anyone under this level is particularly inactive in defence and we will assume you are not worried about not receiving defence .
If you don`t have at least 7defence points total in the last 7days then your calls will not be advertised on IRC/ingame and will only show in the .blacklisted command in #alamospacemurfs. Defence commanders are not required to look after these calls but may do so out of the kindness of their hearts or boredom. Also only 1defence point is offered to a member who decides to defend a blacklisted call.

Galaxy Immunity: 1 ap or dp per day in alliance to gain gal immunity
If you have more points (total of attack and defence points) than the amount of days you have been in the alliance then your galaxy will not be attacked by alliance organised attacks unless you express a wish for them to be attacked. If you have less than this activity in the alliance it is assumed that you do not care for keeping galaxy immunity as this is at most only one fleet sent per day or all three fleets used for three days a week within the alliance.

General Inactivity:
- all inactivity descriptions discount the first 200ticks each player is the ally each round so as to allow time to set up your planet and adjust to how ASS operates to be able to receive your needed points.
- an exception to the removal of alliance tools inactivity rule may be made for members if HCs are warned prior to the inactivity.
- players with 3 days inactivity (no defence or attack fleets in-alliance) and no prior warning of inactivity will receive a msg from HC either ingame or on irc to try and establish reasoning for the inactivity
- players with 5 days inactivity and less than 1dp/ap per day in the alliance will have their alliance tool access removed .. these players may also later be removed from the alliance if no correspondance occurs between them and the HC to fix the issues causing the inactivity or to explain previous inactivity. Players will only be removed if a prepared applicant is ready to take their place in the alliance giving members that go on holiday without warning as much chance as possible to not have their alliance status harmed by their adventures away.

Defence Points (DP) earned per mission:
- 1 DP - Defending a blacklisted player
- 2 DPs - Defending a non-blacklisted player in Galaxy
- 3 DPs - Defending a non-blacklisted player in Universe at off-peak times (7am-2am server time)
- 4 DPs - Defending a non-blacklisted player in Universe at peak times (2am-7am server time)
DP will only be awarded if missions are pasted to an active DC/Puss/ingame mail to ASS within 2 ticks of launching.

DCing:
- all defense shall include all fleets to obtain max coverage (enough to cover call).
- If max coverage is not obtained where possible defenders shall be informed to recall at eta 4 or 1 of their choosing.
- First two weeks dp will be given if peeps defend and report the defence missions correctly but `active` dcing wont happen until week 3.. unless help is needed to guide defence fleets offered.

Attacks:
- 1 attack point (AP) is awarded for attacking alone
- 2 AP are awarded for attacking with 1 or more ally mates on a targ (but this has to be arranged prior to launching with the member you are landing with) - no member should land on a tick on a planet claimed by another member unless organised prior to the attack starting not unless the player who`s land tick it is is nice enough to let you land (and i mean very nice and let you land.. no one likes a piggy on a good calc )
- three fleet attacking is allowed although we suggest certain guidelines are kept to to avoid heavy losses and an attack point does not equal a defence point on all activity rules (see above) so beware that long term three fleeting may harm your status in ASS regarding immunity and defence priority.
- double tapping (taking two consecutive waves on the same target) is accepted, but is frowned upon if done regularly as if the attack is so good for you there is probably another member that would like to have a go at that target too (share the good ones around )
- hitting players that are smaller than you in value and score is allowed (some guys are just asking to be hit with fatness). You can attack any size value player that the game allows, however remember that you get less xp the smaller you hit, so you are better off teaming up on a bigger target than hitting somone smaller than you. Also now the smaller the target is in comparison to your planet the smaller the maximum cap of roids you can receive.. so another reason to hit bigger planets.
- ASS does not endorse hitting players with less than 250 roids, therefore attacks arranged thruogh ASS for ASS players will only include scans waves on planets expected to have above 250 roids at eta1.
- Attacks go up on the webby at 19:00server time (or as close to as possible) and are open for all members to select waves as close to 20:00server time (or as close to as possible) this is as regular as possible so that attacks are reliable.
- news scans will be used for the first couple of attacks to detect defence (done at eta 1 for each target)
- jgps will be done generally at eta 4 of the last wave and eta 2 of the first wave of an attack for the rest of the round, an estimated eta for scans going on the webby will be posted each night so that peeps are aware of jgp time
- AP are only awarded if the fleet is still heading the the target when jgp scans are done as the aps are rewarding attack support.
- if jgp are needed earlier than jgp time advertised puss needs speaking to to request an earlier time to see if it is possible for the scan will be made in time.. please only use this if it is not possible for you to be on for the normal jgp time as puss cannot do this all the time .
- weekday attacks follow ASS value we attack gals within our value range covering two gals whenever possible to gain maximum target variety and still keeping a tight attacking formation.
- weekend attacks may sometimes involve a joint attack on a higher value galaxy but these will not be political and will still stay wwithin a range of double teamup values to not overstretch our fleets and to still allow reasonable time needs for calcing so that people can still play the attack around rl.

Scan access:
- will be taken away if alliance taxes are not being paid by the player (unless sanctioned officially by HC)
- may also be taken away as a sanction for misbehaviour in the alliance (breaking one of the few rules we have or excessive behaviour that upsets other members continuing after being warned etc.)

Alliance Fund:
Is for alliance scans, and trading once it is established but each trade must be messaged to the alliance mail box so as the fund may be levelled up so members can continue using it. The fund is not for donations for crashing|fleet catches. Guidence on how to avoid big ship losses is given to all so it shouldn`t even be a need to use scan|trading funds to increase a members value.

Internal Politics:
Scanners DCs BCs Hcs : Anyone willing to put in a few hours a week to help the alliance that has shown reliability and responsibility in the way they cooperate with other alliance members can be trained up to take these rolls. These titles are not a hierarchy of power but a hierarchy of responsibility and training level, hence anyone can make it up the training ladder given time and patience
The guidelines set out here are set for the round (subject to any minor edits prior to the end of round 32 ) and are to be adhered to by all nomatter what training level they get to. Any members wishing to change the guidelines needs to put forward their proposal in time for the end of round 33 to be discussed as a possibility for round 34.

Intel & External Politics:
Ass collects intel based mainly on jgps gal statuses and galaxy overviews as with most other alliances. The information is collated and worked on through our trusty bot. Generally this knowledge is used as a warning for if we are ptargetted (as we found sneak attacks are imminent in this game ) and jus for fun for players to know what is going on.
ASS do not nap with other allliances or cooperate beyond joint attacks on xp galaxies on a weekend. We do not support blocking and believe that an alliance should gain rank off its own merits in training its members and providing tools for them to have successful attacks and defence rather than through removing alliances as threats from the universe through cooperation.

Prerequisites for joining ASS:
> Setup read (copy available at alamospacesmurfs.net/setup.php & also shown above).
> applied to ASS tag ingame.
> have at least 53 roids (help on doing so with a new planet before round starts is at alamospacesmurfs.net/53roids.php)
>have a pnick... it isnt essential to be on irc all the time but it really really helps so getting ur pnick sorted asap and access to the members channel may just save ur butt (get a nick and password for this by signing up at www.netgamers.org - hotmail email isn't accepted for this site registration but googlemail is)
> apply for tools access at alamospacesmurfs.net (register there)
>go say hello to an ASS HC either by ingame mail to ASS or by popping onto #ASSpublic and poking them all --- also use this time to ask any questions you have about the setup before you are accepted by the alliance ingame and have your access set up for the tools

Ok end of the humongous post
Looking forward to another great round
