I only signed up in tick 407, so got out of protection tick 479/80...
Had a fun round, joined Transcendancy as soon as I got out of protection and was a public scanner..... in effect I had no ally and playing without an ally was the most fun I've had in the various PA rounds I've played for a long time.
crashed my entire CO fleet on a drunken retal, left me with only 1 raiding fleet for a while
Attacked when and who I wanted, didn't have my phone ringing at stupid o'clock in the morning begging for defense, just worked with my gal. When I signed up we were a top 70 gal, we finished as a top 30 gal and the top gal in cluster 16 (6th best cluster) (It's amazing what you can achieve when you get over yaself and don't exile 321087450587 times looking for the 'perfect' gal)
Given 1 more week I'm sure I coulda nailed the top 100!
Gutted two ppl out roided me on the final day, woulda been sweet to finish as the top roider
