MON is no fool. He knows his football, and is about building a team, rather than buying individuals for a season. Don't get me wrong I rate barton, but there is no I in team.

I follow Scottish football. I know MON in the transfer market well enough.

But Parker and Barton are proven top-level players. Parker struggled at Chelsea, Barton struggled with his attitude. Reo-Coker on the other hand had one good season followed by a bad season surrounded by worse attitude after a few years of being the big dog at wimbledon.
