It's one thing to 'like' the way things are - it's another to actually realise that you're competing with games that look as good as the design MrLobster's proposing. The new portal design already looks 10 years old. What's the point in being behind the times when you've got the opportunity to actually do something new and half-decent? There's nothing even vaguely appealing about the new portal, and it certainly wouldn't get me to play the game if I wasn't already doing so. MrLobster's design would.
