Älhjögg looks over at Kalthas when he places himself on the roof with bow at hand. Meeting his eyes, Älhjögg shakes his head, before turning to face the newcomers.
In answer to the paper-man's question, he says, "
The Nidlanders are experienced soldiers; your subjects can do nothing to stop their advance. Our best chance lies in a concentrated assault on the tunnel through which they came. Gather as many of your people as you can; we don't have time to wait."
Pulling his shield from his back to fasten it to his left arm, Älhjögg tells the remaining ranger to scout ahead and give them information about the tunnel entrance.
