Who says alliance D's reason wasn't "alliance B attacked us"?

On a sidenote, I'm not arguing alliance B "shouldn't" have attacked alliance D or that there should be rules stating which alliance can target which. If the #1 alliance feels like hitting the #10 alliance, by all means, let them do it. It'd be sad and stupid, but they're free to do as they wish.
