Hey guys

Just a quick announcement about a new group that we're trying to put together called 'Flame'.

The idea of Flame is that we're going to play for the fun of the game, and not worry about tag score, or average score. Typically in Planetarion everyone plays for the betterment of their planet - Flame's aim is to play specifically to detriment of others. If you have 300 roids, we want 250 of them, even if they're spread out over 10 people. If you have ships flying, we want to catch them. It doesn't matter who you are, or what you've done; you're on our list.

We will be round 34's intergalactic niusances, and you can either be with us (by joining #pa-flame and speaking to either myself or Kenny) or, well, don't annoy us :P

Well, CBA's calling shots and so he's odds on to make it through protection. Beyond that it'd be wrong of me to make any monetary predictions, as I'd just talk it over with him and come to some agreement whereby we split the cash.

Quitting isn't a sign of weekness, more a sign of having a real life. Next round i dont have one of those so heh, I should be in it for the long haul.

Hahahahahaha. You honestly believe that? I sincerely doubt most people suddenly get a life in the middle of a 7 week round. And why do people always get a life when they are doing bad, and not when they are doing good?

If I read this correct, this is the typical group for me. I don't really have the time to play PA decently, but I love to play it. Now I can just log in when I have the time and have some battles just to screw with the other planet... I mean when you don't have the time to log in every other hour, you don't really stand a chance to ending at a decent position. The only time I ended up in T100 was when I had no job and no real life...........
So if this is the case, count me in :devil:

Good luck with Flame though. It sounds like my kind of group, except I'm even less inclined to play than most.

CBA, you should start by hitting pt72 everyone who is making snide remarks about Flame in this thread. You could make fleet names relevant to the posts, like something about getting the last laugh when you hit gzambo etc. Oh man Flame is seeming like loads of fun already...

Just a short follow-up:

I've decided not to pursue the Flame project.

I wish CBA all the best of luck with it, but I've decided that starting a new alliance from scratch is an awful lot of work and I find myself not enjoying the prospect of a new venture quite as much as I used to.

This is by no means a reflection on CBA or Flame or any of the people who've come forward with a view to join, it's just not something I can put any time towards at the moment.

As far as I know, Flame never actually 'banded'. I set a channel up on IRC, and spoke to ell about using merlin... then neither CBA nor I actually went and recruited anybody...
