Conspiracy Theory R40
 

Conspiracy Theory is now 4 years old and of course will be playing round 40.

Recruitment is open and vouches are required.

If you don’t know if anyone in CT will vouch for you then you can still apply but don’t be surprised if you get rejected.

To apply, pm an op in #conspiracy. And be prepared to do a short interview, and keep in mind that it will take some time to review your application/interview and respond to you.

Also keep in mind that not everyone will be selected for membership. This may or may not be for personal reasons and we may not give a reason.

CT will return a good team of core members. However, there is room for new faces, and advancement if you work hard and stay highly motivated and active... as long as you are capable of working side by side with other alliance members, we will certainly consider you.

Surely the point being made is that your allaince is perrineal under acheivers who assume themselves to be amazing but infact do very little in any round.

My members on the other hand remember this is a GAME and play it as such, which is why we dont use SMS as standard and instead concentrate on the social side of PA and building a togetherness and community spirit. We ask our members to help when there on or free but not to make PA their life!

This is why as an alliance a top 10 finish is always seen as an acheivement to us whereas to yourselves with all that effort to finish at best 4th and more normally lower is really a waste of a lot of people's time and energy

Its his recruitment thread, let him be as arrogant he wants. If people dont like it, they wont apply. I for one do not think I know a single person in CT, however, they have been around for 4 years, and that alone imo is a bigger achievement than what 3/4 of the other allies around today has done. Furthermore, they've persistently been ranked top 5, but since they havent been close to winning lately, does that ban them from actually having recruitment requirements? Come oooon!

why is being around an acheivement? especially when you have so strict recruitment policy asking for top end players then never actually achieving a good finish with it (ie. top 3 atleast). Every round we hear how it could be CT's round and then nothing. They nap everyone around them and end up 50 mill + adrift.

I just personally dont understand the need to play so intense when your not actually acheiveing anything of note. Tbh this isnt a dig a CT primarily its aimed more broadly at alliances with silly recruitment policies which means the average joe cant build his way up the pa tree and becomes stagnated in the medium allainces where he will see out his pa career cos he cant the requirements of CT and be 'relentless' or cant apply to Asc cos they dont even have an irc channel!

Its just silly little irritations like taht which annoy me and is why the game is dying

FYI Kai, we have had an open door for several rounds now, this round we intend to restrict recruitment and up our game as a team. as for finishing top 3.. best checking pawiki!!

We have won 1 round, 2nd 5 times, 3rd 6 times, 4th 3 times.... we finished 4th in R39 but we want to do better in terms of our average score and in our alliance rank!

What I want is members who are dedicated to the team!

Translation: If you fence your gal, please do it in such a way that we can call the galaxy 'CT' and we will leave it alone and then claim round win, since we sure as hell won't win planet or alliance! :salute:

With so many friends like this who needs enemies. When someone harps on your shortcomings it usually means they see their own weaknesses and they don't like what they see. A weakness is merely an opportunity, not a problem. Good luck CT, you can be whatever you want if you work at it.

We will be making a serious effort this round, as it's been a while since we have done so as an HC/alliance. It starts with Recruiting. We will return a good portion of our player base, but we are certainly willing to talk to new faces.

We ask that you have a vouch, as it will certainly enhance your chancers of being selected. I will be scrutinizing applications along with GM and the rest of our HC. I'm not saying you won't get in without a vouch, but in order to build and put a strong team on the field, we would prefer experienced players who have a good reputation of being team players, and serious players. If your looking to coast, and screw off all round and play an undisciplined round, this isn't a place you'll want to apply.

Those of you who have played for me before know what I ask for. This game isn't hard, it simply requires a team atmosphere, solid play, and strong effort from every member of the team. Throughout the round if we see you not pulling your weight, we're not going to keep you around as a team is only as strong as it's weakest link. This will differ from rounds past in CT, as we've pretty much just let anyone stay around no matter how crappy their game has been. I want dedicated players who want to win, and won't settle for anything but success. This will be CT's 20th round together. It has always been a nice environment of friendly players, and we have a nice time in channels... but when it's time to play this game and be serious... that's how's it's gonna be.

As GM said, find an op in #Conspiracy. You will be asked to complete an interview, and we will go from there. We are dead serious about round 40, don't think for a minute we're not... if you want to play a serious round with an alliance who's command is serious about winning, CT is a good place for you.

That's the problem, those persons might remember how the global defense was used for the benefits of a few (in additions to the pnaps of those few with our declared enemies).
If HCs must lead by the example, I'm always wary when the top ranking players in an ally are the HCs.
"playing for me" doesn't clear the ambiguity. I prefer people saying "playing with us".

I haven't had a top 50 planet since round 13 dude, I've certainly never used alliance members to benefit my own planet... mostly, I have scanned..which of course, supports the members. As a member of 1up's command team, our alliance were the one's offering the Pnaps, not taking advantage of them... so not sure where your argument is based. Those previous alliances I played with all had defense systems that based defense on what you sent... def points that determined your defense priority etc... as CT does. You offer defense, you help the alliance, you get help.
