I apologise, mostly to yahwe, for trying out these forums. But I've come to realise the regular posters here are pretty shit and I'm going to invest my time elsewhere - hopefully appoco (or someone) will delete my forums account for me or I'll just get it banned to excite some moderators.

Good forums posters - JBG (though he posted mostly fact and not opinion... but still) & nodrog.

Mediocre: plenty.

shit ones: Yahwe and me.

I wasn't sure about deleting the bnp thread or not, but since its mostly based on me just posting idiotic views, no point leaving it up. Having a thread like that in GD will only help lure idiots like myself anyway - you obviously don't want that!

Yeh I only deleted that thread to be emo'ly shit. And since I hate GD and especially their regular posters, no point leaving a thread which made GD look like it was actually alive for once.

It can go back to being a forum about facts - like help finding comedians or broadband services. I know yahwe hates a discussion involving views, and he's the king of GD.

Can't. I'd love to resurrect your thread though - I'll even moderate it a bit to get rid of the spazzing and you can debate the BNP some more.

And in fairness while some of Yahwe's posts have been out of line in the past (and I've deliberately not moderated GD because JBG was there to moderate and he was accepted as the mod) this one was pretty much within the rules:

In fairness your knowledge of history was pretty much being demolished in the thread, and he was simply pointing out that we had no reason in trusting your assertion given your pretty disastrous track record. While I won't comment on the quality of the post (there is the rep function for that!) it was fair game and not really a baseless troll.

Who can delete me? Appoco can but he conveniantly went afk when I asked him to do it.

You can resurrect the thread if you want, admittedly people like JBG did put a lot of time into it so maybe you definitely should. But I want my forums account deleted! Or I will quite literally get myself banned whenever I remember to do it (and you should have banned me around 5mins ago :().

I pointed out myself that I was clueless on lots of things. He was commenting on something which I know a lot of people agree on - especially people that lived in that era. Maybe they're examples of looking back on your youth too favourably, but regardless.

Yahwe has consistently sat there, and in every thread, being a ****ing immature idiot (yes, yes, pot calling the kettle etc). He won't stop posting - I don't care about the other forums here - I don't wanna risk coming back again in 2 or 3 months - I want my account deleted.

If you've got personal issues with a poster, we have the neg rep function for this. Deleting your account won't do you any good if you type http://pirate.planetarion.com one afternoon, so really there is no use whatsoever in us deleting (or indeed banning) your account.

Perhaps it's best to delay your decision for another 5 months and then we'll evaluate the situation again. You can't be too sure when it comes to matters of this nature. If you then still genuinely want to leave, then you should just make another thread.

In all honesty I was actually very appreciative that you had posted on GD. I'd noticed a surge in interest in the forums. I hadn't posted much but I do check this place at least 2 times a day.

I think you were doing a good thing. Maybe the content was a bit silly. But that doesn't matter. It was entertaining enough for me to read and spend time on. That's a compliment, by the way - I've become so jaded over the years that I skimread now and often skip webpages that don't live up to my "standards".

I know you've "left" now and that it may hurt your internet-pride (lol) but I think you should return. We've known each other for a very very long time on the internet - I've known you longer than I've known anyone here.

I'd like it if you could return and make a few threads. I find it quite depressing that this place is as good as dead.
