Printing Photos ( or good picture shops)

I just moved house and want to hang a couple of photos up.

As my housemate has some extremely good cameras, and nice photos, the lazier option is to get these blown up and professional printed. I've tried looking though and while I have found some places which seem to do this I can't find any decent reviews of them.

So before I do this, I was wondering if anyone here had used a website for this that they would recommend (or just a place to buy some phots)

Any high-street printing shop would do that surely? Why would you do it through a website?

Concurring with Nod here - I use online things for cheap snaps because I'm lazy, but you're best going to a shop since they're going to have samples so you can judge the quality of the blown-up images. You also have somewhat better recourse for being able to go to the shop to pick them up and say 'hey this is shit'. And it'll be cheaper.

I hadn't really put a huge amount of thought into it as originally my cousin was going to do it for me but he seems to have vanished, so I hadn't even thought of Pablo's points.

Just picked online as I could remember reading a post by someone (I just can't remember where) raving about the quality of service they had received from some website doing this, and the fact that the few printers I have passed in my area are all shut by the time I finish work and I have plans for the all of the upcoming weekends so can't go then.

Online I can also do it in work when I have nothing else to do.

Getting it done in person does sound like a much better idea though, especially without any decent reviews of the online shops.

There are loads of professional printing shops around London that can do it with an array of effects/frames/quality/sizes. Failing that, just go to a Jessops or Boots and they can do it for you.
