Cov-OP Suggestion. Recall All Fleets

Perhaps a 'top of the tech tree' Co-op, but how about a co-op that recalls all of the planets fleets?

It would put more emphasis on build alert levels and would actively encourage 'support' planets to be co-oppers.

Overpowered.

Indeed.

Perhaps something that sets an attack back? Maybe increasing travel time by a tick or something?

Which would work on the idea the agents manage to trick the enemy fleet into returning, then they figure out what went on but are now a tick behind.

Still shit. People on the receiving end would be seriously ****ed off.

Totally abusable too. You could effectively avoid def using this in several ways.

On my attacks, I'd get cov op'd on purpose to avoid def, & when i was being attacked, i'd cov op all my waves into one large wave to avoid several ticks of roiding`

Obviously some sort of limit, such as you can only do it an incoming fleet once and perhaps even a time limit on when you can do it again.

Once every 24 ticks for example.

Why bother suggesting improvements to an idea which is flawed? Both Forest and NitinA have showed serious problems and adding limits to it won't help.

Yeah, this suggestion should never be considered.

I would like the cov-ops to be more a scanners thing... they waste time and money building scans, where others can build up fleet and eta to be more efective on battle field...

that would be their extra weapon they get from beeing lap dogs to their alliance.

and a suggestion with flaws needs to be edited till its proper for usage, if there is any support on idea beeing good or interesting, I dont see a reason why not to post and develope the idea, till it works. Imo we could support throwing ideas without a final tought....

I don't mind cov-ops as they are now. If you dedicate yourself to them, you can make a lot of resources out of bank-hacking - as Mz showed a couple of rounds ago.

1) It's their choice to be scanners, no-one's forcing them to be. Besides, they can receive plenty of resources through the alliance fund.
2) What stops a normal alliance player from using super-effective cov ops?

If an idea is fundamentally flawed (like this one) then you'd have to completely change the idea to make it workable.

Essentially, you'd have to come up with a whole new idea. Given that the title of this thread is "Cov-OP Suggestion. Recall All Fleets", and it's an unsound idea to allow cov-ops to force any fleets to withdraw, I'm sorry to say that I don't see much of a future for this thread.

The only influence on fleet travel that wouldn't be too powerfull would be to delay the return of a fleet. And it could also used in a friendly manner to avoid FC.
