London (Underground) Stations...
This is a quiz based on something I had once in a training session at work.
Below is a list of clues that point to various London underground stations. Feel free to give your own clues; I'm sure you come up with more difficult ones than mine. No prize, just a bit of fun :) One is not amused! - Victoria Peruvian Bear - Paddington Galahad crossing the Thames - Knightsbridge Angry Arthur - Kings Cross Cheese shape - Leicester Square Lake near Toronto - Canada Water A small magnolia church - Whitechapel A gift from Sean Connery - Bond Street Only exists under the 1982 Cavendish rules - Mornington Crescent Snodland, for example - Kentish Town Corsicans historically dislike this station - Waterloo Car manufacturer - Vauxhall African monks - Blackfriars Flooded with cabbies! Dorothy, Rachel, Chloe, Barbara, Holly, Jessica, Anne - Seven Sisters A tautology of accommodation? - Mansion House/Manor House Part of a fence that you might tie a boat to - Moorgate Edit: New ones I thought of on the train this morning. Possibly more obscure! Murray a winner next summer? - Wimbledon Open to let the carnival out - Notting Hill Gate Precisely made, but not of gingerbread - Swiss Cottage Phil comes here to practice bowling - Tufnell Park A small country where children play - Holland Park |
Re: London (Underground) Stations...
The 1982 Cavendish rules are a bit too complex for simpletons like me. Can we just stick to the standard metropolitan version with rule 2 suspended and no northern approaches.
