[London] Attractions
It's half-term for me at the moment.
Tomorrow is my only free day though, as I have stuff on the rest of the week. I was thinking about going to see some sort of London attraction tomorrow. Free stuff would be good. I'm thinking of the Tate Gallery at the moment, and the Natural History Museum. I haven't ever been to the Tate, and haven't been the the NHM since I was 12 or so. Apparently the NHM has some sort of fashion show on at the moment - does anyone know if this is true? Alternatively, anyone else got any good suggestions for me? |
Re: [London] Attractions

Re: [London] Attractions
the other option is that you spend the day in hamleys, which is a good way of wasting a lot of time

The nat port. the nat gal. the tate modern. the tate britain. the british museum in fact go to the british museum and i'll even give you coffee/booze after (though i'm busy in the evening) given that it's at the end of my street. |

The leapers at the tube stations are interesting in a 'fk it, i'm going to be late and what is with all that strawberry jam ?' sort of way.

ODdly enough i was going to post the very same thread as I shall be visiting london on the 4th March to meet up with a friend travelling over from ireland. Its only 3 days in London but ideally i dont want to spend a small fortune (costs are already spiralling upward) and was wondering what was 'free'. (except the things yahwe has mentioned)

The British Museum is good.

Science Museum for me.
Closely followed by several hours in the Trocadero. Oh such simple pleasures :) |
Re: [London] Attractions
there's actually nothing to do in the trocadero though. it's an average cinema and some slot machines.
