John Reid addresses the Police Federation
 

Maybe im half tired, maybe its the accent and the tone, but

I actually have a sudden degree of respect for a politician. Sounds like a hardline attitude in cases, but his argument of "Defend the rights of the masses ahead of the rights of a minority", if its applied fairly and legally, I think I might actually have to support.

He still doesn't have an answer for the immigration/illegal residents situation though. On the BBC news this morning he basically said, "I don't know how many illegal immigrants there are in the country, and it's not my fault, but the fault of previous administrations/governments."

Having said that though, I actually think Reid will do a good job as the Home Secratary.

Without having heard what he said, I find the concept of those who outnumber everyone else having their rights 'defended' ahead of those that are less numerous achingly shit. Besides thats the police federation of england and wales, not scotland, noone cares about scotland you're smaller than us :rolleyes:

Reid comes off as a bit of a c*nt and I was surprised to see him appointed Home Secretary. Having said that, I don't actually know anything about him or his policies so I'm not really qualified to comment.
