The city of Stockton, in the great state of California, U. S. uf A. has had many accolades and many honors heaped on its doorstep. Stockton was once named an "All-American" city by some group in Philadelphia. We have proven worthy of these honors by being one of the cities with the highest crime rates in the country but now we have broached new fields.

Recently, Stockton proved its mettle twice more.

1. The city of Stockton was compared to some 238 metropolitan areas in the United States and was found to have the highest home forcloseure rate anywhere! Kudos to the wise people of Stockton for chosing wisely.

2. The city of Stockton was also compared to some 7,000 municipalities in the US and was found to havet he highest petroleum prices anywhere in the country. Congratulations to the oil companies for their wise choice. Now that the citizens of Stockton are no longer burdened with mortgage payments they obviously have extra cash to spend on gasoline.

A few years back the Audit Commission (why the Audit Commission, **** knows) said that my Stockton had some of the dirtiest streets in the country.

Now it has clean streets. So when you're knifed by someone with schizophrenia and have your wallet stolen so that they can by another bottle of Bulmers Cider from the Pound Shop, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that, while you're rolling around in the gutter you're not likely to catch anything nasty. You can leave that until you get to the hospital. Or until someone pisses on you.
